Integrative and Separative Educational Measures (PHBern InSeMa)

Introduction

In Switzerland, the cantons are responsible for implementing integrative and separative educational measures. As a result, these measures are named, allocated, and implemented differently across the country. Furthermore, depending on the canton, individual municipalities and their semi-autonomous schools do not have the same degree of discretion and flexibility when it comes to allocating and implementing these measures. The publication and the accompanying interactive digital map provide, for the first time, an overview of the most common measures in the field of special needs education that are implemented in the cantons during compulsory schooling.

• View information on school-related measures implemented by cantons
• Compare measures across different cantons
• Gain a national overview using the Switzerland-wide view (map display)
• Compare measures across cantonal borders, conduct educational research on them, and draw conclusions for educational policy.

Content of the data

The interactive digital map provides an overview of the most common measures in the field of special needs education that are implemented in the cantons during compulsory schooling (see the detailed list of integrative and separative measures on the website).
